The MIT Sloan website recently published several brief articles focusing on work by IWER faculty members:
- IWER Co-Director Professor Emilio J. Castilla’s research, with Aruna Ranganathan of Stanford University, on how managers’ approach to evaluating merit varies was the focus of a May article called “Managers’ Prior Work Evaluations Can Affect Diversity Efforts.”
- Findings from Professor Paul Osterman’s recent study of how U.S. workers gain their skills were featured in the article “Survey: Workers Who Need Training Most Aren’t Getting It.”
- Professor Thomas Kochan’s ideas about the need for a new social contract amid rapid technological change were highlighted in an April article on “How to Make ‘Work of the Future’ Work for Everyone.”
- A May 2 article on “5 Traits of the Workforce of the Future” includes insights from IWER Co-Director Professor Erin L. Kelly, as well as Castilla, Kochan, and Osterman.
